    Who should attend?

     

    Personnel who are required to oversee work on any bolted applications and QAQC. This course was developed to ensure inspectors and supervisors are align with safety, best work practices and inspection.

     

    Course Outline

     

    Training is structured to provide theoretical training in line with Industry best practices.

     

    Awareness course provides the trainee with the necessary underpinning knowledge of safely of disassembly and making up bolted flanges as well as ensuring the workforce are working to best industry best practices, and ensuring all flange components are fit for purpose. Thus, ensuring the integrity of flanges on pipework and vessels in process plants.

     

    Classroom Course, A Pass Mark of 80% is required Certificate will be issued under TPTI

     

    This course covers but not limited to:

    • Flange types - Critical of identifying materials and 
    • Flange dismantling - Dismantling flanges is often ignored
    • Flange inspection - As described
    • Flange assembly - Tightening methods and Lubrication
    • Bolt Materials - Describes yield and temperature effects of bolt materials
    • Gasket types and usage.
    • Gasket identification - Importance of using the correct materials
    • Assembly instruction - ANSI, clamps, API, Compact Engineered joints e.g. Exchanger flanges
    • Best practices - As described.
    • Known Issues on Site - Avoid workforce shortcuts.
    • Tightening Procedures. Knowledge of relevant parts of ASME PCC-1-2013 Guidelines for Pressure Boundary Bolted Flange Joint Assembly.
    • This course can be customized to meet clients requirements.

  • MJ-10

    To provide theoretical skills and knowledge of Flange management, (Theory) plus the disassembly and assembly of bolted flanges / equipment using hand torque wrench.

     

    Who should attend?

     

    Personnel who are required to work on small pipework where the use of a hand torque wrench can be applied. Course will ensure all attendes can work safely and use industry best work practices, can conduct inspection and report if any defect are found.

     

    Course Outline

     

    Training is structured to provide theoretical and Practical training in line with Industry best practices.

     

    MJ-10 Course provides the trainee with the necessary underpinning knowledge to safely disassemble and assemble bolted flanges, as well as ensuring the workforce are working to best industry best practices, and ensuring all flange components are fit for purpose. Thus, ensuring the integrity of flanges on pipework and vessels in process plants.

     20% of all reportable hydrocarbon leaks come from flanges that are 2" and below thus making this course essential for any onshore or offshore installations.

     

    Course (Theory and Practical), A Pass Mark of 80% is required, Certificate will be issued under TPTI

    Training is structured to provide theoretical and Practical training in line with Industry best practices.

     

    MJ-18 Course provides the trainee with the necessary underpinning knowledge to safely disassemble and assemble bolted flanges, as well as ensuring the workforce are working to best industry best practices, and ensuring all flange components are fit for purpose.      Ensures workforce can work safely and productively, to ensure zero leaks can be achieved  thus making this course essential for any onshore and offshore installation.
